Announcing the founding meeting of the Unified Network for Money

oday, in the capital, Aden, the founding meeting of the founders of (Unified Network for Funds Company), a closed Yemeni joint stock company (S.A.I.), was announced and the members of the first board of directors were elected, with the participation of “47” exchange companies licensed to operate in Yemen, under the supervision of the Central Bank of Yemen.

At the ceremony, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Shakib Al-Hubaishi, affirmed the bank’s keenness on the success of the network, which came as part of the efforts and measures of the Central Bank of Yemen to correct the activity of remittances, to reduce illegal speculation in the currency exchange market, and to address price distortions. The national currency and the large differences in the value of cash transfers in the liberated governorates, indicating that the establishment of the unified company will be followed by a decision to cancel all the current local financial transfer networks.

He added that the establishment of the network aims to:
- Reducing the illegal transfer process that takes place over networks.
- Reducing the illegal speculation that is carried out through multiple networks, which contributed to the collapse of the value of the national currency.
- Ensuring the central bank's control over local financial transfers and subjecting them to international compliance standards.

In the ceremony, the chairman and members of the board of directors of the network company, a secretary and a technical auditor for the company's accounts were elected.

The Board of Directors consists of "11" members, including the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
